Thumbs up to the folks ate ecotech! I lost a wetside on my vortech and they were fantastic!

If you have an MP pump make sure you clean the wetsides every month or two including the ceramic ring and wet bearing which seized up on me followed by the impeller. My 6 month cleaning schedule led to the demise of one wetside and did some damage to the other.

I definitely agree with both points. Those guys are great over at ecotech, and additionally keeping these things clean makes a huge difference. Mine had an algae buildup that actually affected the direction of the flow. I cleaned it off and what a difference, not only is the flow back to the way I originally planned, but I was able to dial it down about 50% to get the same results

Just have mine a dunk in vinegar and a scrub. It's amazing how much zing they have after a cleaning. Tank is a rockin'!
