All I can say is...

Reefkeeping is like substance abuse... sometimes you need to visit an AA meeting or two to bring you to your senses, but in the end the thirst will bring you back for more. I have a feeling Ed Reef will be back again. ;)

Currently in AA................

but have to keep away from RC as it keeps luring u back, if u know what i mean :D

Every morning I get a cup of coffee and read your updates.

Hope I didn't spoil your morning coffee :D

Yeah Mark and Marc thread is a good morning coffee boost but be warn as sometimes there are pictures than can make you spill your coffee... :p

I can't beleive what I am reading !!!

But I am sure you have thought about this carefuly.

Good luck and hope to see you here again soon !

Ed,
I can't believe what I just read!!!

I had to go back and read it again,

then I called my Ed to read it.

He said is this a joke?

I said I hope so!

Say it AIN'T so!!!???

I'm speechless!

I have tears in my eyes! :sad1:

Ed, are you sure about your decision?

I know we had to take a break from our own build for a couple of weeks for some sanity.

Its a difficult hobby, but you enjoy it so much!

Please think about this a little longer.

I bet you "already" have a new tank waiting in that elevator don't you

I could only imagine what your new system will look like, bigger and better!

You have been such an inspiration to me.

I will miss your daily post.

Wow...
Ed, I've read your entire thread from beginning to end and I am devastated! Thank you so much for all the informationa nd knowledge you've shared with us! It's been quite the ride.

Also, I had a question. Do you know if there are coral suppliers in Singapore or China that will ship to S. Korea? I don't know if that's even legal, but there aren't too many LFS around here and I'd if it means that I have a pay a bit more for quality coral, then I may just do that.

Thanks again and best of luck with the new tank (we all know you'll be back soon enough).

Hey Ed, you can't quit yet man. I haven't start my tank yet... I need you to stay around to motivate me :D. Honestly, please think it over before you made any hasty decision. I made bad decision by breaking down my 240g cube too soon and go without a tank for a long time...

There's a reason why blood, sweat and tears contain salt, Ed.

Mark - Best quote EVER!

Ed - I've been tagging along from start to finish, learning a lot and always enjoying your updates and successes. Best of luck with those other priorities that are calling your attention right now, and I hope to see you back here when the itch gets the best of you again in the near future. ;)

I am always sad to read when someone steps away from the hobby. I know I think about it on a weekly basis, but I can never "pull the plug" on the system.

I am always jealous of the freedom and the lack of the humm in the house. I don't know what I would do if I had complete silence in my house.

No matter what Ed, take care and don't be a stranger. :p

Hi PotysGSXR - thanks for reading from day 1 - must've been quite a read!! Yes, I try to document down as much as I can (ups/ downs) so that people can have an idea what this hobby is all about and not just the pretty stuff :D

I know of coral suppliers in Indonesia but in order to import into S Korea, the suppliers must have CITES and your country must recognized that. Not sure about S Korea custom regulation for corals as they are consider protective living animals and usually there could be certain quarantine protocol involved so would suggest you try to find out first :p

Ed, Too bad to see you are taking your tank down, It is very nice. But sometimes you just have to do, what you feel needs to be done. I'm sure you have your reasons.
Maybe you will be back with something new in the future.

Thanks Mark - no worries, I still drop in every few days to get my dose of RC.

For sure I will be back but at this point in life, some urgent matters need urgent decision and I, unfortunately have to make it!
