Ed, Im outta the loop. It looks like you faced off the light rack. Did you match it to the stand?

Ive skimmed back a few pages but don't see your usual detailed write up :D

Is your fans strong enough to push heat out to the other end of tubes? If not you'll have a static heat build up.

Yes, it's strong enough. Standing on the other side of the tank, I can feel the gentle breeze of the fan.

And most importantly I can now touch my tubes without it taking the skin off my fingers :p

ANOTHER WHAT AM I??

ANOTHER WHAT AM I??

After the lights were off last night, I found something wriggling on my glass panel. I quickly went and net it out and try to take some pictures.

At first I thought it was a peanut worm but upon close inspection it does not look like any worm I’ve seen. It is about 1.5cm long but very very skinny and wriggle almost non-stop â€"œ almost like a snake or a very active fish.

It also has a head and 2 black eyes and what seem like caterpillar feet. I’m unsuccessful trying to capture a picture of his head as he moves all the time.

This is the best close-up I can get after cropping some pictures.

The below pictures is taken without flash:

Currently he is still living in my test kit container until his ID is known….!!

Hey Ed,

I was just checking out your lighting setup and I think that is the exact kind of setup I would like to do for my new canopy. What bulb selection did you use? and same thing for your MH?

Thanks

you figure it is a light thing then? could he be shy of any rowdy tankmates? i want one myself but it would only be going in a 30g and it would be a waste in a small tank to have one of your fish super hidey.

The possum wrasse is still around - only thing is he dislikes lights and you can only see him out and about before the lights comes on but once even the actinic comes on, he will go into hiding.

On the other hand, my Pinstripe Wrasse only comes out when the actinic is on...go figures??

Never seen them during feeding time but both are fat and chubby so makes me think they are picking on worms, etc in the sand bed and rocks.

:eek1:

Ni hao EdReef! That worm looks like one that melev found in his tank. Marc thinks that it may have eaten one of his clams, so good thing you caught it!

Ballast for Radium is Galaxy - you can use Lumetax also if you don't like Green

Ballast for T5 is IceCap 600

And the LED I just purchased locally

Forgot to mention, I exchange out my ATI ProColor for KZ Fiji as I think the color spectrum is much nicer

Not sure if it's the tank mates but he never seem very much of a active swimmer. Even in the dark, he will coolly swim around (not the shy or frighten type) and search for worms, etc and not rush into hiding when I approach the tank.

I think his nature is just that - unlike a Mystery Wrasse where it's more outgoing
