Hi Reefer - if you try 48hr and it's still not working, then I think you need to take it to the next step.

BUT first you need to be sure it's Dino and not just diatoms?? Can you post a close-up pictures>>

Hey Ed, I did 72 hours light out. Also dosed Zeovit Zeozyme mixed with coral snow and zeobak at day 3 which I believe cleaned my sand bed very good. All dino is completely gone, I hope it doesn't come back.

Great news.... I know Zym, CS and Bak works great with diatoms, but didn't know it work with Dino...

Give it a week before adding other zeo elements and go slow on increasing the lgihts back to norm!!

How's long your tank been running with Zeo??

WATER PARAMETER UDPATES…..

WATER PARAMETER UDPATES"¦..

OK guys, I'm just back late last night and corals seems fine at first glance.

However my driver report to me that I got my first carpet surfer (not sure which one as he told me it was pink so could be either my Skunk Tilefish or one of my Anthias) and also my PBT didn't make it.

He is found pin to the rock work "“ I think my Purple Tang just didn't like him and each time my PBT comes out, he will chase it back into the rock works :mad2:

Anyway quickly did my 10% WC and check my water params as below:

"¢ Temperature "“ 26.2 degree C (light on)
"¢ Salinity Gravity "“ 35ppt (Calibrated refractometer - 53ms Pinpoint Solution)
"¢ NO3 "“ 0.00 (Salifert Test kit "“ same as last same)
"¢ PO4 "“ 0.00 (D&D Test kit "“ same as last week)
"¢ dKH "“ 8.5 (API test kit "“ up from last week 7.5)
"¢ dKH "“ 9.0 (Elos test kit "“ up from last week 8.0)
"¢ Ca "“ 420 (Salifert test kit "“ same as last week)
"¢ Ca "“ 430 (Elos test kit "“ up from last week 410)
"¢ Mg "“ 1260 (Salifert test kit "“ up from last week 1170)
"¢ Mg "“ 1300 (Elos test kit "“ up from last week 1250)
"¢ Potassium "“390 "“ 400 range (Kz Test kit "“ same as last week)

MY Mg is now at the level, which I want but somehow my dKH is a little high?? Not sure if this is cause by Mg supplement I dose over the 2 weeks to raise my Mg slightly?? Anyway, will keep a close eye and slow down my bubble count a little.

NO3 and PO4 are doing real well keeping at zero level. My K+ level are doing really well with this salt mix.

Been away for 10 days is great as you notice the color changes in the corals much more"¦.

I like the way two of my prize deep water Acropora Suharsonoi and Acropora Multiacuta are coloring up"¦.

T5 Replacement Tubes

T5 Replacement Tubes

Meanwhile I decided to pick up a couple of T5 tubes as my HK reefer friend there could get some decent discount as I figure my T5 will be due out for a exchange by year-end anyway.

NewT5Tubes01.jpg

First thing I did was to unwrap the tubes to see if all arrived safely. So far all arrived in one piece.

My friend did a great job in getting those wrapped up really well with lots and lots of bubble wrapped!!

NewT5Tubes02.jpg

Basically the same mix, except no ATI Actinic as I plan to replace this with VHO by year-end.

:D

Looking good Ed!!! Sorry to hear about one of the fish

With colour improvements in those two corals... it means we all need a new FTS!!

Glad the tubes arrived safely :bounce1: :bounce2: :bounce3:

Very nice colors and feeding pics Ed

The RD is still on the floor... waiting on architect to finish stand to setup tank. I took a picture and posted it over on the proline forum. I'll let everyone know what I think as soon as I fire it up!

GHL PROFILUX CONTROLLER IS BACK IN ACTION

GHL PROFILUX CONTROLLER IS BACK IN ACTION

My GHL controller is finally back two weeks ago but only got time to install it last night.

Actually is was ready a month ago but as I have a friend going to Singapore (and wanted to save me some shipping fees) I decided to wait for my friend to bring it back for me.

Found out one of my Ph probe and my conductivity probe is not working. However as my Singapore distributor is out of stock for GHL conductivity probe, I decided to order Neptune System Conductivity probe instead. (much cheaper too) as I was told it uses the same port as GHL

NeptuneSystemConductivityProbe.jpg

However, upon closer inspection I notice that the conductivity port for Neptune is different?

Neptune pin port:

of GHL BNC Port:
ProfiluxViewII07.jpg

Will see if I can exchange out my faulty GHL Conductivity BNC port with the Neptune pin port?? Anyone done something like this before?? Any advice??

Meanwhile, I hook up the rest of the probes accordingly.

ProfiluxViewII05.jpg

ProfiluxViewII04.jpg

Now finally I can start seeing what my Ph in my tank is LOL

ProfiluxViewII02-1.jpg

ProfiluxViewII03.jpg

Ignore the reading as the probes was just in (after calibration) when I took those pictures"¦

I've not configure the computer to do anything apart from reading the water params only at this moment as by the time I finished hooking those up it was close to 3am in the morning and I got to get to work at 7am!!

I demand an FTS. ;)

Hey Laurence - not seen you post here for quite a while now... LOL

No FTS as there is not much from the last FTS..... :p

WHAT AM I?

WHAT AM I?

OK, another "œWhat am I" question"¦.

PeppermintHogWrasse01.jpg

Nice eye-candy"¦.

This should be simple. Let's see how good the fish knowledge is out there"¦.!!

And my probe readings is starting to stabilize

pH 1 = probe inside my Ca Rx

ProfiluxViewII08.jpg

pH 2 = probe inside my sump tank
