Carl, Munich would be fun.. This is a business trip though and can't jump over there. I will have one day in Amsterdam at the front and back ends of the trip. The remainder in some small city in the central part of Netherlands.

I am in if I can find the cash and hitch a ride with someone. Bill maybe? Please! Should I bring my wetsuit? Snorkle and goggles? will I need my fins for swimming in the shallows? Any other equipment I should remember to bring? Oh and what time will I or should I depart on friday? I need to plan around a class I have on Friday.

Rick: The plan is that we will be arranging the rides after we know who is coming for sure, after sunday's deadline. Did you email membership@ncpars.org (see post 1) so Brad counts you? We'll be working off the list he has, I think.
As to when we leave, I assume it will be up to the people in each carpool. I'll get some info from Sanjay about when we should arrive.

hey ricky,
the info i got is that will be 1 gaint net being dragged accross the bottom of beach and everyone gets to watch and see what comes up with each "drag" although you can bring a snorkel and mask and go on your own i heard there is visiblitly up to 10 feet deep.
might want to bring a bucket/cooler to keep anything interesting that alantis doesn't want to keep themselves, like lionfish and butterflies, small shrimp.....

Ok, Rick here's the story. What you really need are aqua shoes. Because draging that net in over lots of sharp broken shells, well you get the picture. I would bring atleast one 5 gallon bucket and an air pump and air stone. You will most likely be able to collect more ghost shrimp than you can shake a stick at. So if you use them, you should be able to get plenty. Fin and mask aren't a bad idea either. I don't know if you will need a wet suit. Water temp shouldn't be too bad, air temp may be more of a concern.
