Educational trip for ncpar members

Based on our count at the meeting, there are now 19 going with Chantelle. 7 from SC and 12 others. Brad and family is 5 and brad will take two others. That means the third car for car pooling has to take 5.

I can take 5 in my car if you want me to drive. If someone else has a van or suv, I am happy to ride.

Thanks
Mal

I have a few python nets I will be bringing that are usually used in ponds so they are fairly big. I can have a tank setup here at the house if anyone needs me to house anything for any length of time. :) I am also willing to take extras!!! LOL Naw, I want to see everyone get some really cool stuff! Hey Carl, even though it might be muddy and all I am still willing to help you catch some critters, maybe we will have some luck, I will be bringing my gear! If I miss anything as far as gear, just let me know. I also have my batterypowered bucket ready!

thanks,

Rick

Oh, and I will be bringing my bags that I have left over too, I have 2 sizes if anyone is in need. I only have a few of the larger 6 or 8X14'' bags, and a bunch of the smaller 4''X12'' bags.

thanks,

Rick

I have a big colapsable net I'll be bring. The net is something like 24" deep and 18" wide. Extends to 5'. Plenty of extra bags also.

I am really just on the lookout for copepods. I'll have my sieves.

Carpools

Carpools

We need to get carpool set up. Brad, you need to chime in here. As far as I know, here is the list of those attending the trip:

State College Van (FULL):

7 - Sanjay, Scott, Vicky, Bill, Amy, Ricky, Chantelle

Allentown Van (has room for two more):

5 - Brad and family - Bethlehem 18017

The rest that need to arrange transportation (seven):

1 Mal - Reading - 19610
1 Carl - Pottsville - 17901
2 Tim and Lisa - Minersville 17901
2 Michele and Kent - Gouldsboro 18424
1 Ron - Pittston - 18640

That is a total of 19.

I think Kevin Fizz may show up on his own, but not sure.
Is anyone else going?

Carl, Tim and Lisa are in the same area.

Michele, Kent and Ron are in the same area.

Is there a central meeting point near Rt 78 we can meet and leave cars (that will be safe overnight)?

Thanks
Mal

If we all wanted to meet in Hamburg all our cars could be parked where I work. The place is easy to find, just across the street from Cabela's. Safe place.

OR

If Tim could get the van and we went out 81 to 80 we could pick up Michelle, Kent, and Ron along the way. Mal if you could drive up to my place in Pottsville we could just drive over to Tims.

Carl

Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to make it after all. I was so excited to hear about going to Atlantis that I forgot I had a prior comittment this weekend. I promised to dog sit all weekend, and I haven't been able to find a way out of it. I'd rather not have 5 dogs leaving puddles on floors. Someone take their camera and take lots of pictures for me.

Sorry about any hassle this may cause. I hope the trip goes well!

Looks like there will be 2 spots in the van from Altoona/SC. Scott will not be able to make it since he has to attend a funeral.

May be we can pick up 2 people somewhere along 80.

sanjay.

Ron Hoover wants a ride with us, I just talked to Tim and he asked if we had an empty seat so Only one left if its ok for Ron to hitch hike with us

thanks,

Rick

We are planning on staying in the greater NY area Saturday night so unfortunately, I don't think we will be able to participate in the car pool.

As Sanjay posted, I'm afraid I won't be able to make it because of an unexpected personal matter. Sorry to miss everyone - it will be a good time, I'm sure. Please be sure to thank Joe on behalf of the club and me!
