Eel and other fish

I'm wanting to add an eel to my 180 fowlr setup, I have a 5 in sailfin, 6 inch Lunar Wrasse, a couple damsels, a flame angel ,a Tomato Clown, a coral beauty and a 7 inch Dog Face. Basically is there an eel who won’t make a meal out of my dogface, or angels?

I'd get a zebra moray. I've had mine about six years, and it has never bothered a fish except once, when it accidentally clamped on a trigger when they went after the same food.

I have kept my zebra moray with fish as small as royal gramma, juvenile emperor angel and clownfish, with no aggression at all.

You could also consider a snowflake eel, but I consider them slightly riskier with fish and also VERY likely to get out of the tank, unless it is well covered.

I liked those or Chain link morays. I am more interested in the fish, but there is something regal about those eels. I don't really like snowflakes they look to much like snakes. i've already had a snowflake jump out of a tank with a 5 inch different from the water level and the lip of the tank.
Are we talking about kept well fed?

I think you're good with either a snowflake or a zebra. Snowflakes tend to be a bit more aggressive when they smell food in the water. Not actually towards other animals, they just get a bit more "frenzied" when they're looking for food. Any shrimp you have in the tank will be toast. LARGE hermits, however, have a shot.

chainlink AKA tessalat moray will end up eating everything in your tank and outgrow them mine was in my 180 but he is getting big and mean I think that I might have a new home for him though

Personally, I have a Snowflake in with my other fish. He's never once gone after any of my fish (they are not fish eaters). However, I have heard stories of accidental bites. A friend of mine once had his 30" snowflake clamp down on his 9" clown tang. It was a case of mistaken identity and the snowflake let go after my friend swatted at it. The clown tang was fine since snowflakes don't have the razor sharp, super long and nasty teeth that fish-eating morays do. Still, it is a concern to be aware of.

Since eels have REALLY BAD vision. They key in on their food based on smell. If a fish gets in the way of it's scent trail, it could mistake the fish for the food it's smelling and take a bite to see. For this reason, I do worry about when my eel gets bigger and an accidental bite is capable of doing more damage. Right now mine's about 18" and the thickness of two fingers, so I'm not that concerned. But it is something to consider and not something I was aware of when I bought him. In this respect zebra morays are totally safe. If you've ever seen a large one (30"+) up close, you'll see that they literally do have these round, smooth teeth that are used more to grind than to grip. Snowflakes definitely have stubby teeth, but they also have these short sharp ones that I'm presuming are meant to grip. Hey gripped down quite well on my hand once  . Broke the skin, but wasn't very bad since he was still small. Again, a complete accident since he promptly let go and fled to the bottom of the tank, fearing retribution, I'm sure.

Chain link and tessalata are diff species.

Chainlik is Echidna catenata and gets up to 28"
Tessalata is Gymnothorax favagineus and gets to about 60"

Big difference in these two...
