Eel for a 29 gal

What kind of eel would do fine in a 29 gallon? My LFS just got a 5" snowflake in a few days ago and I would like to keep it in a 29 gallon at school. I can move the tank home for the summer and my teacher comes in on wednesdays during break to feed the fish.

Yes, it's not a good idea to put a snowflake in the 29 without a definite destination for it. I know he's really small now, but they grow pretty fast when they're young.

Not many eels will fit in a 29. Maybe look for an eel-like fish. What about an engineer goby? I think it would eventually also outgrow a 29, but at least maxes out at 12". I kept a green wolf eel in a 55 for many years (but again, not good for a 29). I'll think on it some more. Besides expensive dwarf eel already mentioned, I don't think you will be able to do a moray or any other eel.

hmm it'd be hard to keep an eel on a tank this size..more ore less they should be housed on a tank 100g up. in my opinion.
