egg eating platinum clownfish

my platinum clowns have finally layed eggs last week but the female ate the eggs immediately after she layed,
I wondered if she would eat eggs that were 6 days old from my Picasso female,so I switched pots, low and behold within minutes she began eating those eggs to.i took the eggs away from her again, the male wasn't the problem, only the female.im wondering if anyone has come across this before,im thinking when she lays again to remove her pot and give it to my Picasso female to take care of before she eats them.
has anyone done this before.

ahhh I see
ive switched pots before
but im looking for the Picasso to become surrogate parents to the platinum.the picaso is a proven pair and ive been raising batches from her over a 2 year span.

My maroon couple years back ate their first few clutches. At first I figured they were inexperienced and maybe spooked by other fish living in close proximity.
Which is weird because everyone else was tiny and soooo non threatening.... [emoji23]
Then when 3 pairs of gobiodon started spawning as well they stopped eating the clutches.

This was a dt so no flowerpots and no surrogate pair...
I'm just saying the behaviour seemed to be stressed induced.
Maybe she doesn't like her setup?

my platinums laid another batch.
I wasn't sure when to pull ,they started eating the eggs so I figured its time.
eggs transferred to Picasso/ Darwin pair, shes also do the next day.
no problem taking the eggs into there care.
Now I got a pot of platinums on the rightside and Picasso/Darwin on the left set to hatch a day apart
