Eggs

There is a large clump of eggs on my zooanthid rock. I don't think they are related to the zooanthids in any way, although the zooanthids look quite angry. I have stomatella, nassarius obsoletus, mexican turbos, margarita, and probably some other types of hitchhikers.

The whole rock. They are by the orange coralline/sponge.

What kind of fish do you have? I don't recognize the egg laying pattern as coming from the snails I know.

Best of luck,

Roy

I have 1 neon goby, 1 firefish, 1 yellowheaded jawfish, 1 cardinal fish, and a scooter blenny. So it can't be a fish, it has to be a snail or some hitchhiker.

How many of the Illynassa obsoleta do you have in there? The egg cases look similar, but seems to be a lot of them.
