Eheim loud humming

So I have a Eheim 1260 return pump. This goes by "flextube?" (Grey flexable tubing/pipe) fixed with a "hose clamp" (the metal with screw kind). It's resonating quite badly. Would dismounting the clamp and going with regular strips sort this? And metric vs feet is not a size issue as all my gear is metric.

Any good idea will be tried and tested. Not native English so some expressions might be off key but I'm guessing you get the point

I guess the pump externaly mounted and not inside water. The clamp you have would rust in water. Its weird to here that an Eheim noisey. Try rubber suction cups under the pump and dont put the pump against a glass or else it would resonate.

I dnt belive that resonating sound can come from clamp, unless it touch something.. If your pump is new, then is normal to produce sounds, but usually sounds stop after a week or two..after all parts 'wear' a little, etc..

I have a Eheim 1260 as my return pump. I have seen people say that they can't even tell this pump is running without looking, but that's not the case with my pump. It generates a maddening hum and creates some type of harmonics that makes my entire house vibrate.

I have replaced the rubber feet with suction cups, and also replace the first few inches of the return line with flexible tubing. The suction cups seemed to help a little, but this thing isn't anywhere close to being dead silent.

I have also removed the sponge filter.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to make this pump run as quiet as advertised?

Here is a picture of my setup:

Try putting it on a pad. I went to home depot, and bought a PVC foam mat, that is made for standing on, and is about 3/4" - 1" thick. It is in the isle with the blinds, and there are several other mats to choose from, but the others are "packaged" and the one I got is a single item. It is very easy to cut. Keep your rubber feet as well. Just make sure it says it is made of PVC foam, and it has diamond pattern on one side.

Now everything is dead silent with current setup.

FWIW, I sold my 1260/1262's a while back because they were just too loud, humming too much. This was before my pad above. They were on mouse pads at the time, which is not as thick as the above PVC foam pad.
