Elections at the November Meeting

Sorry to burst the bubble here, but there will not be an appointed photographer. The positions we will be filling are as listed at the beginning of this thread.

I also wish to make clear that the positions voted upon as a club are the Officers. these are President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. These people make up the Board of Directors.

The other positions- the individual Chairs- are appointed by the Directors.
The individual Chairs are as follows:
Donor Program
Communications
Education
Social
Library
Membership
Webmaster

Anyone can volunteer for any position. Should they volunteer for an office, the club will vote to decide whom they want. Should several people volunteer for a Chair, the Directors will decide who they feel is best suited. Should a Chair remain vacant, the responsibilities inherent to that position will be divided among the team.

We have volunteers for most positions, but the floor is still open to anyone who would like to be considered.

Now- with specific regard to photography- In the bylaws we have a ruling that basically says "any chair or officer can appoint a team or committee to help them perform their duties/job" Once all positions are filled the individuals in each can go about seeking help. This is where photography- and other skills- can be recruited.

I would like to volunteer for the appointed postion of the Donor Program.
 
As promised, elections for the Leadership team took place last night at the meeting. The following people volunteered to donate their time to COMAS for the next 12 months. the Leadership Team is:

Pres. Paul Whitby
Vice Pres Greg Childers
Treasurer Stephanie Kohl
Secretary Kaitlin Cameron

Taking over the frag program, Glenn Stamm
Taking over the ~communications chair, Kevin Bekkelund
Membership Chair, Cindy Davis
Taking up the webmaster role, Tony Davis
One of the meeting Officers, Ed Brookshire

the other positions will be filled in the next week or so.

Please join with me to thank these individuals for their time. They already worked a great deal last night signing up new members, cooking food, helping out at the store and generally being there to help things go smoothly.

I look forward to a fun and exciting new year with the new leadership team.
