Sorry to burst the bubble here, but there will not be an appointed photographer. The positions we will be filling are as listed at the beginning of this thread.
I also wish to make clear that the positions voted upon as a club are the Officers. these are President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. These people make up the Board of Directors.
The other positions- the individual Chairs- are appointed by the Directors.
The individual Chairs are as follows:
Donor Program
Communications
Education
Social
Library
Membership
Webmaster
Anyone can volunteer for any position. Should they volunteer for an office, the club will vote to decide whom they want. Should several people volunteer for a Chair, the Directors will decide who they feel is best suited. Should a Chair remain vacant, the responsibilities inherent to that position will be divided among the team.
We have volunteers for most positions, but the floor is still open to anyone who would like to be considered.
Now- with specific regard to photography- In the bylaws we have a ruling that basically says "any chair or officer can appoint a team or committee to help them perform their duties/job" Once all positions are filled the individuals in each can go about seeking help. This is where photography- and other skills- can be recruited.
