Elegance Coral eating Firefish

Just wondering if y'all have had an elegance coral catch and eat a firefish of yours before.

Before you ask, ive had a red firefish pair for 8 months now that truly ate alot up to its death. And of course something could've "nipped" it or injured it as most people assume....

But for argument's sake, let's assume it was 100% healthy. Have you ever had an elegance coral sting and consume a healthy fish of yours previously?

Thanks for the typical response. Im sure blanket statements like that arent scientific or factual, just your conclusion after reading othe postings.

If you're wondering about the sting, personally from what i saw with mine and any of my lps, is eventually one of my fish will get curious when i put them in after a few days and give it a little peck. Either the kole tang, chromis, and on a rare occasion my purple fire fish, has happened with an elegance, duncans, frogspawn, torches, hammers, i've never seen an adverse reaction from any of the fish. I would agree with Tweaked on them not being able to kill a healthy fish.

Healthy elegance corals can and will capture and eat healthy fish.
I have acclimated mollies over to salt water just to let my elegance corals feed.
I have lost several salt water fish to elegance coral.
Healthy elegance corals have a very strong sting and powerful grip. They're not going to be eating large tangs or anything like that, but something like a fire fish would have very little chance of getting away from a healthy elegance.
