I have a question. I want to set up a new tank. In my current tank I have some small red acro bugs-many of them. I want to transfer pieces to my new system and dip everything prior.

Is it possible to dip an elegance? Has anyone before? Does anyone know is red acro bugs infest a whole tank everywhere or only on acros?

Thanks!

Elegance corals can be dipped. I would still research on the best type of dip for your application. As for Acro Red Bugs; I'm not an expert...but I would assume they would be present in your water column (everywhere) in general and not just on the acros.

Here is a pic of one of my frags in my 14 biocube. The parent colony I have had for about 16 years and I got the frag from a friend who had it for 5 years before I got it.

Elegance, Elegance, my favorite.
I have a rarer to keep alive Indo Elegance that I have been sucessfully propagating in my tank since 2007. I am currently on my 7th generation frags.

Here is a FTS of my 50g, what looks like one large elegance is actually 9 brother/sister frags. At the front of the tank are three micro-elegance frags.

Here are the micro-elegances. Started off life as just a few tentacles on tiny slivers of coral base that broke off inadvertently during fragging. Over the years they eventually grew a mouth and complete disk. Now about the size of a silver dollar.

Finally here is my smallest micro-elegance, about the size of a dime in my 5.5g pico-reef tank.

Just picked up this blue tip aussie piece today.

Phenomenal price, couldn't pass it up.

Pardon the blue. I have the lights turned down to get the coral acclimated to my LEDs.

Picked up a purple Aussie frogspawn as well. Can't get a decent photo with the LED's though.
