Hi,
I need some help with my elegance Corals.
I have 6 in one of my aquariums and the all came with the same shipment from Aussie from a really good LFS.
My problem:
Before this summer I bought new tubes (T5 with par value 450NM).. the Corals were bought after this Upgrade so there has not been any changes since they were placed in the aquarium. They are spread all over and from bottom to top..
All summer they've been fine and polyp expansion has been great. Until now.. 5 out of 6 retract when the lights goes on.. the close up completely, doesnt get inflated, no slime or Brown jelly. They look alot as they are supposed to during the nights...
When the light goes of the catalaphyllias start to open again and all of the 5 which Closes up during the day open up and show tentakels.. Not as much as they did the two first months after acclimation but still alot more than during the day.
What should I do?
Since I have them all over the aquarium and it doesnt seem to make any difference is it still an valid option to to move them to a spot with more shadow?
EDIT:
Tried some red slime remover a couple of days ago... but if thats the problem it only causes a problem for the cat's no other Corals shows signs of stress.. what solution is recommended?
