Elegant Corals

I have not read all of the threads of this post but I will eventually...I would like to know if you are interested in my Elegant. It is dieing. Every morning when I get up, I dip my elegant in new sw treated with a boost of vitamin c and iodine. I shake it lightly so that the webbing comes off. I thought for sure this was going to turn out to be RTN but the coral is hanging on. I know it's in bad shape so I am willing to donate it if it will help you. I'm just afraid that it won't survive the shipment. I have posted some photos of the progress of its demise since I obtained it, which was only 6 weeks ago...

The coral doesnt look bad, It looks like it is doing fairly well. It still inflates, still has color.
If it was a gonner it would literally melt away.
You really want to donate this?
If so I would be interested

the coral is swelling up, i've had my share of em, I'm obsessed with them, has the symptoms, short tenticles, inflamed body. He's just not inflating, he is swelling...........you should start seeing the mucous any day now. A healthy elegance should have tenticles like a long tenticle anemone....2" at least. Look at my gallery for healthy ones.

My Elegant is hanging on...every morning I have the same routine and after an hour or so of being put back in the tank, it opens up. The tenticles have never been longer than an 1" - 1 1/2". The webbing is present everyday - is that what you are calling mucus? I'll keep you posted of the progress or demise....

poopsko24 that is a nice Elegance. Love the tanks.

thanx, still working on em though.

Yes the mucous, webbing, is a for sure sign of the downside.....I've seen it too many times. Siphoning it off does nothing for it heath wise. I've had one that looked like crap, and I mean crap for like 5 months, had it in a 10gal by itself. That is the longest I've had em with those simptoms. Its usually alot quicker till the whole body just disolves, but I wanted to see what this one would do.

yah, i wish there was something, anything that Eric found. I even donated..........Eric has seemed to abort the whole thing, whats up with that?

Someone posted on the Marinedepot forums that they got one that had dropped the tentacles to start growing them back my doseing idione.... not sure if it made a total recovery though.
