Elos 120XL REEF

Love everything about this setup. Going to look so good when it matures.

Thanks! I can't wait neither. I might have some new plans for the tank so I'm not sure how long its gonna take for it to mature cause I'm always doing something new to the tank.

Hi dh,

I love the tank. I am working on the plans for a similar setup. I have a couple questions.

1. What brand and type of sand are you using?
2. Does the same move much with the mp60?
3. What are the dimensions of your tank?
4. I am planning on a tank with a 48 x 36" footprint. Will 2 x Radion gen3 pros cover this space well, with a minimalistic aquascape?

Thanks!

Thanks for the compliment, as regarding to the questions I actually did run into some of problems myself.

1. Im actually not sure what brand of sand it is. I bought it from my local fish store as crush coral. It wasn't live sand or anything, just bought it dry and rinsed it before placing into my tank.

2. Yes, the mp60 did my move sand a lot and left bare spots at one end of the tank. I switch over to the gyre and it did the same thing but not as bad. Im running it on pulse mode at about 50-60%.

3. My tank is a standard elos 120xl (47.24x31.5x19.7).

4. Since our tanks are so close in size, you might be able to get away with just two depending on how you aquascape. You'll still get coverage but probably not enough par to keep corals a long the edges. Also you'll have to place the radions just like me to get front to back coverage. Honestly I'm happy with the lights and growth rates, I think two is plenty for my tank. But if you do have the funds for a third one I would get it but if you're like me, I would take the extra $750 and buy a rare fish LOL.

Your tank looks great. Keep up the great work!!!
A baby Bandit would look great, but based on my experience with my Bandit, your corals might suffer. Have you considered adding a Candy Basslet? The Candy would look great with the rest of your fish. :)

Incredibly inspiring aqua scape! Love the appeal of the openness the tonga branch gives you...plus the additional retreats for the fish and frag mounting opportunities.

I agree with the bandit but candy basslet with lineatus might be an issues.

How's your bandit Reza?

The Bandit is my favorite fish. He has been with me for over 4 years now. As far as the Candy Basslet and Lineatus living together, you will have no issues at all. My Candy and Lineatus get along very peacefully. :)
