Elos 120XL REEF

Haven't updated anything in awhile, everything is still the same haha. I do want to share my recent purchase though. First time seeing these guys in years for me so I had to pick up two.

Oh my. :crazy1: Where did you find them? Nice pickups indeed!

Haven't been on lately but a member asked for some updates since I switched out sumps and my tank crashed. I had a huge bryopsis and red slim outbreak but things are getting better. You can see them in the pictures still. All I have left are a few sps pieces and some zoas. But I still have a bunch of hammers and started collecting Gonis. I would like to slowly add in some sps but I'm too lazy to hunt them all down again. Maybe when I have some time I will hit up some members that I got corals from before.

Only sps left in my tank but they're actually growing fast and has decent color.

My triggers are still fat and hungry but they actually haven't gotten much bigger.

The interruptus is about 4" now and super aggressive. I can't add any other angels because the interruptus will beat it up.

Another reason why I haven't worked on my tank much is because of this guy. A majority of my focus and attention goes to him.

Awesome Frenchie! We are looking for one :)

Thanks! Good luck on finding one, I know on FB there's a frenchie for sale group. You should join them, a bunch of breeders post their puppies up for sell everyday. I suggest going through and look for reputable breeders because there are a lot of scammers. I was able to pick my pup up from a breeders in Illinois and had him shipped to Cal.

Might as well do a small update while I'm here haha.
I got a text from a LFS telling me they have something that I might be interested in and here it is!

Can anyone guess the wrasse? I feel like these guys are the most underrated wrasses and they're stunning when they reach super male.

Here it is next to my trigger, the wrasse is probably about 3", hoping it will become a 5" super male one day.

I wouldn't say a rose-band is an underrated wrasse. Maybe the divided wrasse is....:)
You got a great lfs:)

haha yeah divided wrasse are. This is actually first time owning a rose band, maybe thats why i think they're underrated cause I'm so used to flames, rhomboids, and ect. Yeah, they purposely get in nice fish cause they know i can't resist haha.

Since I had time today to clean the tank, it's time for some updated pictures! My tank is finally worthy to post. It has gone through a lot of changes. First, I changed out my old tonga branch infested with hair algae to tonga shelf; had it for a few weeks didn't like it so went back to tonga branch. I also removed my sand bed and went partially bare bottom except for a 8" strip to keep my wrasses happy. Next, was thinning out my fish- I got rid of the bigger fish and a few angels. I went with mostly wrasses, Interruptus, and black tang. Also, I upgraded my skimmer- went from Omega 150 to a 180I. Since my tank is now stable, I've been adding corals slowly back in. My next step is to sell the gyre and upgrade to two MP40QD sometime this week.

Nice pick up.
The interruptus must be sucking a lot of large pellets. Does it goes for nori and clam?
