Elos osmo ato

Hey gang,

My Elos ATO went kaput on me this week. The propeller is no longer spinning, though when you hit the button you can hear the motor try and "whir" as if it were filling up.

I tried a 1:5 vinegar:water bath, but still no dice after a couple days of trying. I've also tried manually turning the blades to see if something was just stuck in there, but no dice.

Any suggestions? Probably my only complaint about this top off is that you can't take the pump apart for maintenance, and it's all connected to the brain unit, can't even unplug it from there. So, looks like I'll be having to buy a whole new unit...

I had the same issue with one I had a while back. I had to manully spin the propeller as it was seized. I also followed that up with an overnight vinegar bath. It worked for a while after that but i ultimately decided to switch to tunze since its so much easier (and cheaper) to replace the pump should it fail.

i may do the same, since i already have had 2 elos units i'm sure it's past warranty, but if they offer me a discount or something i may pick up another.
