elsefailed's 40Br (Picture INTENSE)

Great rockwork and great colors! What type of anthias is that and how do you feel it's doing in your tank? I have a 40B as well and have always wanted an anthias but felt my tank was too small. Also, how often do you feed?

huge update!

switched out the old tank for a new corner overflow drilled tank
since teh wife almost flooded the tank when i was away i decided a drilled tank was the way to go
so now i am saving electricity and hopefully have a better overall system

i took the time to organize the wires under the tank as well as replace the sand with new finer sand
the tank this time also has a painted back instead of the tint on the back so its not as shiny as before
overall i am very happy its just as loud as before if not quieter and im using less electronics

lighting wise i switched to
aqua blue plus
aqua blue special
fiji purple
aqua blue plus

now its a little bluer and pops a little more!

ur aquascapes are beautiful, i like this most recent one. The new bulbs does add a better blue tint making the colors of the corals much nicer. Great job!

Amazing tank! This certainly inspires me with my new 55. I'd love to see your sump/refugium/plumbing, just for ideas!

the moonlights are r2 dual extreme lights they are great
but the Y power cable failed so i only ahve one runing at the moment but when they are both on its bright and got great shimmer ( if you have good surface aggitation)

ill take pics of the sump when i get home im very happy with how the cable cleanup went!

Wonderful aquascaping! One of the nicest 40 breeders I've seen. You made the tank look a lot larger than it really is. That mystery wrasse(?) is beautiful; are they hard to find and/or expensive?

I just picked up a 40 gal breeder at the Petco $1 per gal sale. Will be using this thread to help with the design. I am hooking it into my 200 gal system and dedicated to LPS.

I use the TEK light on my 120 gal with the r2 moonlights mounted on the TEK, works great!

I have a MP10 and AC Jr left over from a Solana setup to use with the new tank. The MP10 should be fine for LPS.

Thanks for the inspiration!

thanks guys
chuck the sand is super super fine so it gets stirred up easily by the clownfish, sand sifting starfish, crabs, and snails that live inside the sandbed

I'm torn...

I love the acan garden, but I like the tank overall without it being front and center. Either way it looks awesome! I love my 40 breeder, but yours is definitely better
