Elton's reef tank in Taiwan

Elton its lookng good. I like the new scape looks like lits of room for acros to grow out, but, looks like you will get very good fliw throught the whole thing. Nicely done! Saw a cew acros in there i wouldnt mind getting my hands on 2!

The new layout is truly gorgeous. So open for flow and growth. How have the corals responded? Any mini-cycle when you changed it?

I spent about 2 months to complete the layout and change. I spare as two parts. I build the tree layout first and put it on the outside container with my tank water for one month then move it into the display tank.
The same step for the chicken feet but this layout I only put them in old water about 2 weeks.

Haha!! some times I will touch them also and they may feel happy...

Hey Elton, what's that tank look like after being away two months at a time? Any issues?

Before we build KH Guardian I have many issues for my leaving my tank for extended vacation.

I have a article in REEF HOBBYIST MAGAZINE second quarter 2016 and you can see how I handle the 3 months away with my tank. However when we complete the KH guardian design everything become very easy.

But I still use mini refrigerator with my personal design step motor doser to feed some of food to them.

So I do not have too many issue with my tank when I leave my tank for a long time.

ok. watched the video. :)
amazing scape!
I love how open it is in the front and the back shelf with all the tabling acros is gorgeous.
Beautiful job!

Wow this is really unique and impressive aqua scaping and layout!! Would be great if you posted a "how to" video particularly epoxy work with rock and acros including products you've used. Very interesting work!

Choice small size rocks and use Epoxy Putty connect them together.
PH84_F_15_170120183632_1.JPG

make some rings for putting SPS.
PH84_F_15_170120183632_2.JPG

start glueing them.
PH84_F_15_170120183632_3.JPG

glue them on the rock and see how it look like.

Rings can put SPS with T type stand.
PH84_F_15_170120184059.JPG

Drill holes also can use T type stand and t can be removed if you like this SPS there.
PH84_F_15_170120184059_1.JPG

large SPS can direct put on the gap of layout.
