Emerald/hydroid Question

Has anyone else experienced emerald crabs taking care of hydroid problems? or is this just a coincidence? I added 2 to my 40gal a few weeks ago, and it seems like the hydroids I have been battling/chiseling against have almost been eliminated....not that I'm complaining....just curious

could be, like all crabs emeralds are extremely opportunistic eaters and that is why im worried about putting a few in my 125 to control bubble algae
