Hi,

right now i have a 30gal tank with 3 female seahorses. 2 of them are doing fine and one of them is eating frozen mysid shrimp, and the other one is eating live pods from the sand. about 4 days ago the third one stopped eating, and started acting strange; turning so black that i could barely see her eyes, staying on the bottom of the tank on the sand. I thought it would be fine and we had been planning to move my tank for a while, so we moved my tank from 3rd level to the 2nd level, so it would be cooler etc. so we transferred all of the seahorses and some hitching post to a clean bucket of water with an airstone running for about 2 hours. during that time period she was laying at the bottom of the bucket barely moving while the others were swimming happily. (all water levels have been fine through the whole thing) when the time came to put the seahorses back in, we put the other two in the tank, and we were getting the 3rd one when we realized she wasn't moving. we touched her to see if she would respond to the gesture but she just moved a little bit because of the current my hand made. then she made a very small but noticeable movement with her tail, so we put her in the tank with the others and she pretty much just sank to the bottom. I have read that this is what seahorses do when that are dying so as a last resort option we did a fresh water dip for 12 minutes. when she was in the fresh water she would swim around and then fall to the bottom over and over again. she did turn lighter but I'm not sure if it was just because it was fresh water or not. after the twelve minutes were up we put her back in the tank and she sank to the bottom again, this time not even trying to move. she hasn't eaten since, and has not ben doing well. I don't know what else to do because since it is not a specified disease (or one that I do not know of), so I can't add any medication. I do not think she will last that much longer but any ideas of what to do would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Could you please reformat this wall of text into logical paragraphs so it is actually readable. It also helps to capitalize the first letter of a sentence.

Thanks.

Oh, and air bubbles are a very bad idea with seahorses.

It is very easily readable. ...and many many people with sea horses use bubble stones in there dt if the skimmer doesn't supply enough oxygen or just for gentle water movement

How long have you had them? What species are they? Tank raised or wild caught? I 'd probably quarantine the sick one for the sake of the other two in case it's contagious. Most species like cooler water so usually a 5 gallon bucket with an airstone is all you need for qt with a piece of plastic chain zip tied to some pvc for hitching. Unfortunately , I don't know what's wrong with it or how to treat it based on the symptoms described. Perhaps someone else will chime in.
