Emperor Angel 1 week in QT

Thanks everyone!

I started Prazipro just now. Let it run for 5-7 as recommended on the bottle. Do a water change. Let the tank sit for 5 days then treat Prazipro again for 5-7 days.

After the 2nd Prazi treatment I will use cupramine for 2-4 weeks.

Just double checking with everyone to make sure this is the correct protocall.

Chloroquine phosphate is also good for ich and it's a lot less harsh than copper. I started it ppb my current batch of fishes a few days ago. Do far so good.

Beautiful fish....just my 2 cents, as your first fish in, I would get him to the DT after you treat him and you're comfortable he's healthy. Your DT is a much better home for a fish that size than a 33 gallon tank. Nobody in the DT to stress him out.

That is one beautiful emperor! I agree with humaguy, quarantine is better safe than sorry. If you get impatient and run 4 weeks rather than 8-10, you could be looking at the tank fishless for an 8 week fallow if something goes wrong. Also, I'm wondering why you chose the emperor as the first fish? They can get quite aggressive and territorial, so most opt to add them last, or close to it. Either way, that is one stunning specimen! I can't wait to see more pictures when he's a little bigger :) love the streamer![/QUOTE

I would agree with you about placing the emp first being out of the ordinary.

I did it because he is the only fish I have ever wanted over the past ten years of being interested in this hobby.

I plan on placing a lot of small dither fish with him and maybe one tang.

With a bigger fish already in the tank I am hoping that the chromis especially with stick together at first and hopefully not decimate their numbers right away.
May work may not....

Patience is a virtue! Hard to find some days but well worth it!

That's good advice too!
