Emperor Angel nipping Clams :-(

Just got an Emperor Angel about a week ago and even though he's being feed well wont leave my clams alone :-( Any sugestions? or am I going to have to part with somebody? :-(

usually when it starts you have to decide whats going to go fish or coral,clam ....sounds like the emperor needs a new home.

Yeah thats what I thought :-( He's really pretty though :-( Idk maybe I part with the clams

Does the angel nip at any other corals? SPS, softies or LPS. I am still looking for a reef safe fish that will get along with my Tomini tang who killed my foxface :-(

I got a Coral Beauty Angel and the Emperor Angel and the Coral Beauty hardly nips anything, the emperor seems to nip at everything but really picked on the clams I think he liked one of my sea whips too but I haven't seen him bother it in a while

well I isolated the clams but it was too late and they died :'( there goes about $90 :'( and the emperor is killing snails now! I think I'm going to ask the store if I can bring him back for a store credit or something:-(

They went back today and I got a clown and a bubble tip had to tear apart most of the tank though to get 'em out

Don't you love getting fish out of an established tank???

Yeah it was a joy :-D but on the up side I was able to move two peppermint shrimp to the refugium, since they where eatting my frogspawn and bubble coral
