Just starting off a new tank, and it will be my first stab at sps, but also lps, and clams. I have a 24x24x17 rr tank with a single icecap 250w ballast with a coralife spider reflector se (no actinics). I plan to buy a 14k hamilton as my bulb. This tank is a temp setup till i move again with the army in about 6 months. At that point it will be a coral prop tank under my 125 or 180. Thats why i got it so shallow, to get max effective light from the halide. Does my current lighting setup sound good? Any advise?
