Equipment contaminated?

If dosing copper in the hospital tank, are the powerheads and heaters also eternally contaminated like the silicon seals and stuff. I know that when using copper pretty much everything is un-usable in a coral/invert tank, but does that include the heaters and powerheads? Is there no amount of cleaning that would render them clean enough?

Thanks!

Running enough carbon will rid a tank of copper eventually. Powerheads and heaters should be fine after cleaning and sanitizing. You could always use TTM or Chloroquine instead to avoid any concerns you may have

Only run this in the hospital tank though right. Meaning I would like to repurpose the heater and powerhead to a display tank (not my main DT but a DT at sometime). Would I be ok doing that?

Being that most heaters are made of glass and or plastic I don't think you would have much to worry about with the heaters, same goes for the powerheads. I would be hesitant to use them in a SPS tank less than 75g. It is however a good idea to have heaters, powerheads ect that are only used in QT situations.
