Before you read any further, grab a pen and your calendar! You're going to want this one marked in permanent ink:

SEASL is proud to present Eric Borneman on November 18 at the Maryland Heights Community Center!!

Eric will be visiting SEASL on Saturday, November 18 at 10:00am. The meeting will be held at the Maryland Heights Community Center, 2344 McKelvey Road, Maryland Hts, MO 63043.

Eric's presentation will focus on the care of our reef systems. His visit should be both informative and entertaining. SEASL is very excited to host Eric's discussion. It's not every day someone of his caliber drops in for a club meeting!

The best part is Admission for all SEASL members is FREE!!!

Admission for non-members is $15 and admission for folks joining SEASL at the door will be $5.

Keep your eye on www.seasl.org and The Wave for more details.

Thanks,
Brad, Becky & Tom

Ditto what Curt said. VERY happy I attended today. I probably could have sat there all day listening to that stuff. :D

Great presentation, well all except the superman part! :D

At least I know now I need to charge 4-5K! :celeb1:

Did someone get the full listing of what he said are things he likes to feed that benefit corals? I only got a couple of what he was mentioning and didn't hear the rest. thanks

I don't know if he passes his info out, but if we could get his notes similar to Dwaynes notes that would be Good. There was a lot of good info I just know I won't remember it all. Very glad I attended today though...thanks to everyone who organized it

Feeding his corals

Feeding his corals

If I remember correctly, his coral food formula is in his coral book. I am out of town now, but will confirm that when I get home.

Thanks. Yes, I have his book and there is a section on a homemade food, however, someone asked him for specific things he would recommend to use for feeding various corals. He mentioned cyclopeeze and several other things, but I was distracted for a moment and missed the rest of what he was listing off. I think he mentioned oyster eggs as well, but not sure. I just know he mentioned like a half dozen items in response to the question.

Shooter - I taped the presentation. I haven't reviewed it yet, so I'm not sure how the audio turned out, but I'll try to catch the list for you.

Eric did tell me he would mail me a copy of his slides. As soon as I receive the disk I will make them available to the club, hopefully with audio from the presentation.

I thoroughly enjoyed the discussion. Kudos to Greg Frimel for organizing this meeting and Eric's travel arrangements. :)

Thanks to all the exec officers. I enjoyed it very much.

Becky - if your audio on the tape turns out poor, and if you know how to clean it up let me know. I taped the 2 meetings when Calfo was here. I tried several proggies on the'puter but none worked.

Then you should go to IMAC next year! You CAN sit there all day and the next, listening to Borneman and a host of others!

Would love to, but I have too many other obligations to be gone that long. I'm lucky to just be able to get out like I did Saturday for a little while. I'm just glad he and Calfo have come here and I got to see both of them! :D

One of them was golden pearls of the various sizes and he also mentioned articpods and the main one was copepods for live food.I know he said he doesn't feed phyto.
