I have the sp 3's on there now it's the dual pumps

Those of you that are direct feeding your skimmers from your overflow. Can you tell me how you have it plumbed? I have dual overflows. What size hole/fitting/connector do you have connecting your overflow to your skimmer?

thanks in advance!

here it's some picture with the gen x 6000 pump. it's modify impeller and it's skim about 8 hour. i am going to modify again this pump at night (i just want to see how much it will pull out)

I run 1" all the way to the intake. Then I reduced it down to 1/2". I also have dual overflows.

The other drain feeds my fuge.

this is how i do it hooked up to just 1 overflow
Hope you can make this out . It works good for me when feeding a insump skimmer.

Tank overflow water goes in at the bottom, up the 1 1/2" pipe too the "Y" fitting. Most the water goes down the wye reduced to 3/4" pipe, then a ball valve, then to a tee attached to the venturi. it mimimizes bubbles and noise.

Adjust the valve so that no bubble are coming out the tee, then you just turn on your skimmer.

Roland, i'm slightly confused/lost. Like the part connected to the Y-fitting (the black piping, outside of the tank) What is that connected to?

EuroReef CS vs RS skimmers

What are the main differences between these model skimmers? Just the material they are made out of? I am looking at the RS135 and notice it is almost $200 cheaper then the CS135. Or are there other differences I am not aware of? Are the RS made of the same material as the ASM skimmers?

the reason he has it so the pump is not over borne with water it's to allow for a gentle flow of water.

that whats connected to your overflow "water exiting your tank" goes up the black pipe then down the wye allows any bubble to easily come out of water before going to your skimmer.

it is can skim for 250 gallon without any problem . you can see also the tank of the month kip use with the cs83 and it's the same size of the cs250. his total volume up to around 450 gallons.

Kip's ER is been modified with a larger pump.

how high should my water level be inside the skimmer while the skimmer is on? if i have nothing but saltwater in the tank (as i do now), will i be skimming anything and will i only be able to truly tune it if i have some organics to skim (live rock, fish, etc). and last but not least, i have my riser up high and i am getting tons of micro bubbles coming back into the tank, but this is the only way i can get the water line wherei think it "should" be. how can i stop this? thanks guys!
cs-80 is what i have on 20 gallons of water in a 29 gallon tank, slimmer sits in approx. 7" of water. salinity 1.025
