Just bought a CS250 today!!! Was going to get RS250,but the CS build quality was so beautiful.

Are the new impellers out yet? If yes, how do I get one?

Man, this is one beautiful skimmer. I just keep looking at it!!!

You can count me in to i just got a used cs6-2 to replace my
Urchin pro with.
So far its not doing as much as the Urchin but its just been
running for 2 weeks so I'm still playing with it

the first picture was when i feed the fish , here it's another picture when it's start to skim again.

the truth is the eheim more quite then the genx pump but the genx pump skim more dark skimate then the eheim and more dirty come out . i will make other photo tomorrow to show the capacity of the skim. my tank have very low bio load and my rock very clean i don't have any algae . by end of the week i will change pump and will run the genx with the regular impeller after that i will test a modify impeller on the gen x pump and i will post between the test some picture.

Thanks for the reply. ER is saying the same thing. The Eheims wont offer a performance increase, but are quieter.

I have an ER RS250 on the way for the 180 I'm setting up. The skimmer will be in the basement so I dont really care if its quiet.

Yes. New skimmer for a new tank. It wont be set up for awhile yet.

i run the H&S pump on the skimmer and after i change the position of the pump i can read 15-16 l/min. if the pump sit on the glass i read 10-12 l/min.

the gen x give 15-16 but the pump connect with elbow to the skimmer body and i believe if it will connect with u and not 90 degree the result will be 18 l/min when i try this pump with DLS material on the impeller with the standard elbow i read 18 l/min.
i wait for some item and i want to make more test to see where or what will give the best result with this pump.

i find out after i clean the collection cup and start again the skimmer because it pull a lot of air it's take about 1 to 2 hour till the skimmer start to break in again.

i just set it temporary now because i want to make more test with the gen x pump here is picture how the pump connect now to the skimmer.

you can see it in the picture and just with this position the pump pull max air 15-16l/min. with the elbow the back pressure on the pump reduce it to 10-12 l/min. i am waiting to get tomorrow flex pipe i want to see if with the "u" position like it's connect to the H&S if the pump will pull more air.

Ahh, so it is not an external skimmer. Is the Eheim the only pump on the skimmer? Or, is there a feed pump?

i am hardly have a space to this one , i break all the baffles because of this skimmer. i have the cs8-3 but without the gate valve it was fit to tight .

the eheim is the only pump on the skimmer.
