after my ritteri anemone puree killed all the fish in my tank except for the clowns, i added another group of 5

since they're now the only ones in the tank i didnt qt em

4 outa 5 started to shoal n 1 stayed hidden or very possibly became dead. for my best knowledge a hiding anthias is a dead one

setting up a cop tank to entice em to start eating. any ideas to share? they look like something in between purple queen and barlett's so are they easy to start eating or not?

any exp's to share guys plz

There is a pretty long thread here on this fish. Bottom line is that they are difficult to feed, but not impossible to feed. Smaller foods are best tried first, cycolpeeze, ocean plankton, brine.

They also like flow and are more apt to eat foods in high current.

Depends a bit on for how long. It is not unusual, IME, to have one of the smaller species hide for a week or even two. That's why I have found it so important to fatten them up in QT so they can survive the transition. If you were talking one of the larger species, then yes, hiding for more than a day or two would be a bad sign.

Agree on flow. I've made the point here a number of time that for many fish, anthias included, turning off the pumps to feed is actually counter-productive.

will start feeding this evening

i usually have em rest for a day, switchin off the mh and then start feedin.

they look like barlett's but are hard to start eatin, finger cross to myself

here we go:

the quint of evansi anthias, the 3 in the bright zone has started to eat cyclopeeze
