Ever had A clown Move the Nem?

I wish I had a way to put it on film but last night I was watching my male and female maroon bat at the colum of the nem with thier tails. They have managed to make it move out of the corner about 5 inches and they were cleaning one area of the rock like mad. They now have a the corner of the tank to themselves but it is still covered by the oral disk. It's like they are hiding in a cave. The crispa never detached, it just moved over.

Anyone else had maroons behave like that? I've seen them move other things but this is something they've never done

My Female Clarkii, Will move my carpet anemone to a spot she wants it. She will move all the sand away from the foot, them push with her head, and bite at the foot to get the nem to move.

That's what i was thinking. The female hasn't really gotten any more agressive but she's really gone into overdrive with keeping her section of tank empty of anything else

My Maroons have been spawning for a while now, mostly in a spot below and behind their BTA where it's tough to see. The BTA has gone through a series of splits recently and the female has finally decided to deposit the clutch in a more visible (to me) location. The day of the spawn, I've observed both clowns grabbing tentacles and nudging one of the nem clones in an effort to gain more clearance for the newly chosen area. I wouldn't say the nem moves that much, but it's enough to be noticeable, almost seems like the nems know the Maroons are about to spawn and oblige by giving way slightly.

I forgot to mention mine only bit the anemone when they were spawning. I think they just needed a little more room to maneuver.

You mentioned the female is in OD cleaning the area. Is she actually cleaning a portion of the rockwork? That's usually a sure sign that a spawn is imminent. My pair wear out their lips scouring the rock just before a spawn.

I have spawning gold stripe maroon clowns. They host four rbta's. When it is getting time for them to spawn they most definitely influence the nems to go where they want them to go.

This is a sure sign when mine are going to spawn.

I don't know if this link will work. I apologize for the bad video if the link does work. It was taken from my cell phone.
