everyone eats sea weed

when ever i put sea weed on a clip for my tang, all my fish will eat it. my six line wrasse, midas blenny, and even my clowns all pick at it. anyone else have any fish that eat it that arent your typical sea weed eaters?

Yes, all my fish eat it too, including cleaner wrasse, leopard wrasse, sebae clown, etc.

yes...fish tend to watch the other fish and learn from them...if they see other fish nipping at something that might be considered food other fish will do the same.

My hawkfish and dottyback aren't interested, but everyone else gorges on the stuff -- the angels (this is who the seaweed is really for), damsels, fairy wrasse and even my yellow clown goby. I usually fold a sheet up before putting it in the clip, the goby likes to gorge himself and then hide between the folds and pop out, scaring the other fish

I believe that, some of my fish "traits" are almost eerie, its almost like some have a personality. To me gobies are entertaining.

That is to funny, but yes all my fish enjoy the algae I put in the tank.

GBM clown, Sohal Tang, Naso Tang, Blue Tang, Midas Blenny, Yellow Damsel, Pygmy Angel, Flame Angel (They all attack it). The only ones not interested are my Hawkfish, my Rainford Goby, and my Royal Gramma.

My purple tang is the only fish that eats. My chromie has tried to eat it but th tang won't let him.

bartletts anthias, yelllow watchman gobies, a potters leopard wrasse, of course all my tangs, chromis cause they'll eat anything, six line wrasse will actually try and fight the nori if it's a big piece (he doesn't like anything new in the tank)

longnose hawkfish is the only one i haven't seen eat it.

All of my tangs and dwarf angels eat it but to my surprise my sargassum and niger trigger eat it more then any other fish. Even my goldenhead sleeper goby will try to eat some if my kole tang will let him.

For awhile , only my blue tang would eat the sea weed. Now my clown, convict blenny and midas blenny all go wild and race each other to eat it as well.

Only my yellow tang and blue devil damsel will pick at it.

But my tang -really- likes anything meaty (mysis, scallop, shrimp, whatever).

I also had a flame angel that ignored nori, but loved anything meaty or detritus. His favorite meal was damsel turds - I mean he would follow the damsel around waiting to gobble it up!
