absolutely incredible shu tin

thank you for sharing.

Hey Nick, how are you?

Good luck on your anemone, Supersurfer. I have a very green H.magnififca just like the one in your avatar, but it got much greener(not as nice) slowly over two years time. I was hoping you have info on how to keep their colors bright.

Boy I wish I lived closer to you :) We should really sit down and trade magnifica experiences.

Did you see that I propogated my magenta magnifica recentlly?

All looks good so far with the split. This color morph is my favorite that I have seen so far, so I'm excited to try to get more of them out there.

What sort of growth rates are you getting with the propogated anemones? What has your turn around been from cutting once to thinking you could divide it again? I'm thinking it will be at least 3-6 months even with heavy feedings assuming all goes well.

Very Good Shu Tin, still green with envy over your anemones :).

I know the feeling Nick, been there. I learned the true meaning of "patience" from this hobby:)

Kudos to you Cindy, well done. I love that red base ones with bright green tentacles, but I love mine good old purple ones too. In fact, I think I like them all:)
For me, it takes ~ 8-10 weeks before the division site is healed but taget feedings certainly helps with healing. I have much better results with the ones that I isolated in sump and refugium where I could set up an IV like feeding station. I don't have any success on F2's thus far. Newly divided specimens required a lot of time, monitoring, and we have been gone too much. I have the two old purple ones that I been wanting to try just haven't had time at home long enough.
Have you tried the pedal laceration method?

I have tried it twice with no success. The pieces both detached, refused to reattach and one got lost in the tank and the other withered away. I do think this method has promise, it just hasn't worked for me so far. The pieces I did were small and I didn't use a second rock like you did.

Has it worked for you?
