They made arowanas harder to aquire from the countries where they are native[ I think Indonesia]. So they are still lega, but more rare= more expensive.
I've only seen real barracudas in the water off Florida or in large public aquariums. They were BIG (20-30 inches) with teeth as big as a dog. Nasty critters that would be very boring to keep, they just stay suspended in the water looking for something to chomp.
