Experience with Centropyge interruptus?

Recently I have gotten the opportunity of buying my dream fish, the Centropyge interruptus. I have heard that it is a hardy fish, but I would still like to hear about your experiences with them.

What size do you recommend getting them at?
What temperature do you raise them at?

Thank you all for your help!

I have had a couple over the years. I have never had a problem keeping them. I like dwarf angels. But my experience is that these are more aggressive than most dwarf angels. It could be that they do get larger than most of the others dwarfs.

Mine have always ended up needing to be rehomed. But they are easy fish to find a home for. And fortunately mine have been easy to catch because they love to eat.

thanks dave for your reply!
what sizes of the interrupthus were you keeping that showed aggression problems?

Ideally 74-75
But I keep mine @ 76 and its fine but I sold it to a friend because I don't have to keep my tank this low during summer.

be careful with larger wild caught specimens as they tend to have a worm in their body cavity that keeps them from gaining weight, and will die within a month or two.

thanks for the tip, i am personally wanting one around 1.5"-2.5", as i think they have the best colors at that size

That's exactly happened to me last week. The fish was fat and active for about 2 months in quarantine. Brought her over to main tank a month later, she stops eating, 3 doses of prazi doesn't work and I tried clout, Two big worms start creeping out and body cavities developed. She died a week later. No medicine works and certainly not prazi.

anyone knows why the large ones tend to have problems but the small ones don't?
i mean if the large ones are usually infested with parasites shouldn't the small ones be infested too?
