experience with tangs and blennies together

I'm thinking of adding a Ctenochaetus tang to a tank with an existing Ecsenius ops (yellow eye) blenny. Is this combo likely to work or are their dietary requirements to similar for peaceful coexistence. Would I have better chances with a fox face or Zebrasoma tang? The tank is 12 sq feet in surface area.

I have had Kole and Tomini Tang that has been very aggressive to my Lawnmower Blenny. They would not bother anyone else in the tank. I took them out and I got my current Mimic Tang and he is not aggressive to it, but still chases it when I put Nori in the tank. I even tried putting Nori on each side of the tank, but the Mimic still chases it when it comes out.

i had a yellow eye kole tang (Ctenochaetus strigosus) that mercilessly attacked my lawnmower blenny (Salarias fasciatus) any time he saw him out.

They both occupy the same ecological niche, so there will be some competition. Whether it amounts to just periodical chasing or full harrassment depends on the individual fishes. My Kole hates my Tailspot Blenny and chases him whenever he is out. The blenny doesn't really seem to care, though - sometimes I feel like he is taunting the tang. The tang has "issues" with a number of fish in my tank, though (like wrasses and one of my Royal Grammas - go figure). Probably helps to spread the aggression. It also probably helps that the blenny was in the tank for a year and a half before I introduced the tang.

I have two blennies, a tribal and a hairy blenny. My kole tang will see the tribal blenny resting on a rock. It will decide that there is a yummy patch of algae right next to the blenny. So the tang evicts the blenny but without harm or pursuit. The tang does not bother the blenny when the blenny is grazing on a rock. So far, the hairy blenny has managed to never be near some yummy algae.

Thanks everyone-looks like I'll skip the tang. I figured it was a bad idea but was hoping to hear from people that got away with it.
