What are your experiences- size when acquired, acclimation problems, size of tank, anything else?

Mines a great fish. I brought him at christmas,and has settled in really well.

Only thing that bugs me is,he's going to loose his lovely colouration as he matures. Which I never knew. having known that I would never have paid the money I did for him.

I know that from reading about them. The (2) lfs I asked about acquiring them instantly asked me if I knew they changed to almost black as they mature- that's the way aquar. shops should be! How big is yours, how big is the tank, did you quarantine, and what do you have in the tank with him? Thank you, Dawn.
