eye-catching reef fish

What are some eye-catching reef fish that I could keep in my 75 that won't cost an arm and a leg. I already have 4 green chromis and a royal gramma that are going into the tank so I'm going to add off of that. Heres some fish I'm thinking about:

Pair of black and white or Solomon Island True percula clowns

Regal tang or PBT. ( I do note they will get large )

Flame angel

3 female Lyretail Anthias and one male Lyretail

( Not getting all of them )

Just about any of the dwarf angels. I suppose the Flame would be the most eye catching, but Coral Beauties, Potter's, Eblii's, etc... would also draw attention.

Do you want eye-catching from a general public standpoint (ie friends and family), or something that will make other reefers say, "wow"?

The answers to that question will make a significant difference in the kind of thing you're looking for.

For example, for "regular" people there's almost no difference between a purple firefish and Helfrich's firefish, but a reefer is likely to see the latter as a flagship fish.

I would suggest a leapord wrasse. They are absolutely beautiful. Just make sure that they are eating before you buy one. It looks like your tank has been running for awhile, so you should have a healthy pod population.

I love my male blue throat. I think he is awesome, although Im sure reefers will roll eyes.

Strangely enough, the fish that is growing on me the most is my green chromis. I had every intention of removing them after cycle, but they schooled and are awesome looking to me.

IMHO

I always wanted a blue throat but I saw one full grown and I don't think the skimmer I'm making could handle him.

Dont buy a full grown one. You can have many years with a small or medium sized one.

They come in all shapes and sizes. Here are a few.

If you have the lighting for it, a pair of those clowns in a green carpet would be quite spectacular. Regular oscellaris are spectacular in a green carpet.

In addition a pair of skunk cleaners is eye catching.

Most of the fish that impress reefer types tend to be either hard to keep or expensive. An angel like a Potter's might b a good choice because, though it is a hardy angel, they so often don't reach the reefer healthy enough to survive - sooo if you can find a healthy one, you will be envied :D

Sometimes that's tough to do. One reasonable option, as long as you have a cover, is fairy and flasher wrasses. Great colors, active, stay out in the open.

I know this is about fish, but as an example, in my friend's tank he has some great corals, including some beautiful elegance, brains, orange ricordea, etc. When his non-reefer friends look at his tank, for almost all of them, their favorite things in the tank are the large green bubbles of Valonia. People are just blown away by that stuff.

I have a 75g too Ive owned lots of fish but stuff like a potters kind of bore me. I like colors that pop so I like royal grammas, orchid, splendid, or neon dotty back, probably some kind of yellow fish like a lemonpeel, and wrasses have alot of color -- like scott's or flame w/ the anthias would have alot of candy like colors floating around

plus think of which colors come alive when the actinics are on -- yellow, white, blues, greens, reds too

The high fin gobies.

And for one that will thrill the crowd, a jawfish with an attitude. People love fish that 'do' things.

I have always liked Regal angels but have no personal with them. I'm not sure if it would be content in a 75 gallon.

Well after adding a Tunze 6060 to the tank today, Any fish under 2'' are going to get blown away. The little chromis I have in qt would just be blown around like nothing.
