Is anybody going? Maybe I could put some faces with all the names is see on the boards. I went last year and their aquaculture facility is awsome! The rest of the conference was just OK, it could have been much better. It was the first year though, so I'm sure It will only be better this year. Hope to see you there.

Oh, If you didn't F&S is Foster's and Smith.

Rhinelander, WI way the @#%% up by the UP. I think it was a 6-7hrs from Rockford. Pretty drive though lots of forests and lakes to see.

I'll be there again this year! The inlaws live in Minocqua so it's an easy venue for me.

It really should not take 6-7 hours ... that is unless you drive like a granny! It should only take about 4.5 to 5 hours unless you get stuck in construction traffic.

I am flying from Naperville to Rhinelander - F&S is about 1/4 mile away from the airport. I may be able to give someone a ride...it should take about 1:20 or 1:30, depending on weather. I plan on leaving on Sat morning and coming back late afternoon / evening.

HOWEVER...not to be overly discriminatory, but height below 6'2 would work, and those much over 230 would have a harder time.

Will fly for frags? :)

I know I don't drive like a granny. Bat out of hell is more like it. But I don't have a Viper either, like you do or so I heard. So, maybe I don't remember how long it takes its only been a year. :D

glbtrottr,

You're a private pilot?
What do you fly and out of where?

I have what's called a Turbo Mooney (m20k) out of a little airport called Naper Aero Estates (LL10) at Ogden and 83rd in Naperville - a fly-in community, you land and you park your plane in your garage...pretty cool. It has 104 gallons of gas, can burn 10 gallons per hour, and can go as fast as 200+ nautical miles per hour. You can see the pic in my avatar - or the panel at:

I also keep a Cessna 172 with a nice IFR gps to do local inexpensive trips in.

Too keep it thread related: Frags are okay to bring back, but 50lb buckets of salt would be hard in bulk. :) No 180 gallon tanks...

:eek2: :eek1: Sweeeeeet!!!! I'm at 111th and Rt59, I know exactly where Naper Aero is...I see the Lima Lima's all the time. :D

I'm licensed (but woefully out of currency) on Beech Sundowner's/Sports. It's been years since I've been up and would love to again someday, just not in the cards with the children and all right now.

BenjieC - Not accusing you of being a Granny driver ... you just must have forgotten how long it really takes. BTW, there is some nasty construction along the way ... north of Madison and they were also doing some resurfacing on 39, but I believe it was further North of the Rhinelander exit.

So you heard I had a Viper, huh ... see what happens when I take a Sunday drive out to Rod's? My Avatar is actually a line of Vipers on the Rt. 66 track in Joliet ... the red and white is the hood. I actually have to share it with my husband.

yznhmr - Guess that's the word out on the street ;-)

See you at the show!

Sara

Advanced registrations are sold out, but I believe it says that they are allowing day passes for $10.

Ah Man, I am going to miss another cool event, I am camping with the family this weekend. You have to love it when you can combine hobbies, flying and reef keeping
