blface -

How long ago did you get your adornatus. I bought mine a few weeks ago from Preuss. Are you on the MR board?

I got mine last Saturday from Stingray Bay. Yes I'm on MR my user name is Zoa Fan there. How much did you pay at Preuss for your wrasse?? I have never been there. I'm going to make the trip once they open their new store.

blface- I did a trade in to bring the price down, the base price was $100 for a pair. So you did get a real good price.

Do you have any pics of the female???

Currently have 3 fairy and 1 flasher and a male lyretail anthias in a 72 gallon tank.

Lineatus
Temminckii
Punctatus
Mccosker
Lyretail Anthias

Hopefully these guys will all get along and if they do, how many more fairys and flashers you think i can add?

Was thinking about 3 more flashers and 2 more fairys. Bringing total of 10 fish for my 72 gallon.

What do you guys think?

heuerfan,
Personally I would not try to stock too many more fairys.
75G is not a big tank and you got one of the most beautiful wrasse out there, the C.lineatus is becoming more and more beautiful when you let it grow.

If I were you, I'd go for one or, if you must, then two more special wrasses different color and patterns from what you have there now ( I would'nt put C.rubrimarginatus for example).

Eight Line Flasher P.octotaenia would be a good choice .

I'd into them in the net after Q in seperate system.

Good luck.

Thanks Vili_Shark was actually thinking the same thing. Was thinking Laboutei or Aust. Scotts. Eight line flasher is nice also, decsions, decsions, decsions..... :)

Boy, having really bad luck lately....... :(

C.Punctatus is dead, but the 2nd Temminckii i got is doing very well and eating. Could it be the Lineatus?

What fairy do you guys suggest i get with my Lineatus? I want one more Fairy, how about a Scotts or Laboutei?

Thanks,
Steven

Has anyone tried ordering from twilightaquatics.com I am trying to get a hold of brian so i canorder a rhomboid and a female flame wrasse, is he out collecting more fish?

Scott

Hi Guys,

I am here, I was collecting fish today and didn't get back until late HST. Our main computer crapped out a few days ago and I lost a bunch of emails, so I may not have received yours. I won't be collecting tomorrow so you shouldn't have any problems getting a hold of me.

Aloha,
Brian

Hey Brian,

I have also been trying to contact you, but my emails probably did not get to you due to your computer issue.

Anyway I sent another on this morning, so I hope to hear from you later today.

It will come from nbd13@hotmail.com

thanks Brian!

Nick

Tanaka: here is a closer pic of my temmincki, can you tell me if it looks like a male or female? If it is a female, i am planning on fiinding it a mate :)

Thanks,
Steven

heuerfan,

It is no longer a female, but a young male with shorter pelvic fins, and I hope it will get an adult coloration within several months. Also the red submargin of dorsal fin is apparent in males like this. Males have very long pelvic fins and reaching well over anus.

It is a completely different fish. It's an 8-line wrasse (Pseudocheilinus octataenia), and related to the mystery wrasse, 6-line wrasse, etc.

The 8-line flasher wrasse is quite different.
