Fairy wrasse Photo Library

Those are really cool fish you got there. I think the exusitite fairy wrasse is my favorite. It has got such cool colors. It really catches your eye!!

I refuse to let this thread die!!:D
I saw my male hooded display today for the first time. All I can say is WOW!!! I wish I could get a pic of it. The colors were amazing, especially the neon pink fins.

Here's a new pic of my female hooded. Typical female likes to pose for the camera.

I bought this wrasse tonight. He was sold as a Temmincki wrasse. He is out in the display and eating great.

Scotts tend to be very aggressive. Also, the blue colored wrasses tend to lose coloration absent a female.

Can someone tell me how to tell the difference between a male and female pylei. I have had my pair about a year now. My female has changed alot since I got her. They both look very similar and I now have them confused.

here are my three amigos though one isn't a fairy wrasse.
i've received some flack for keeping them in a small tank, but the aggression is minimal to none, all are eating very readily and swim very strong, and all have a place in the rocks to sleep at night. if they get too large and aggression starts showing, i have many options.

They are fed a variety of food everyday and all food are eaten with no waste.

homemade mix (includes banana, cyclopeeze, nori, formula 1, formula 2, unshelled shrimp, squid, selcon, vitachem, liquidlife coral food 2, etc.)
krill, hikari mega marine, ORA glo pellets, Prime Reef flakes, chopped silversides and pyscine energetics mysis.

i never feed to the point they are full, i like to keep my fish always a little hungry as i don't believe in fat fish being healthy fish.

Photo of typical male and female.

Photo of male.

Cirrhilabrus males are more colorful than females and they have much longer ventral fins.

Here's some updated shots of my male flame wrasse and his 2 new girlfriends. I just picked them up last night they are both just under 2" long. He seems very happy and the color displays he's been putting on are incredible.
