Awesome pics scottkelly911. I also have a rose scale male. I've never been able to get any pics of him displaying like you did. Did you use the flash on those pics?? Mine gets really white on the back half when he displays. Whats the temperate like of yours is he a bully?
Thanks a lot for the kind words. He hardly ever displays. I must have taken 50 pictures to get those, no flash was used, just regular point and shoot. He only seems to display when he gets annoyed by my cleaner wrasse picking at him. He's pretty well mannered and hasn't really chased anyone in my tank, but he was also the last fish I've put in. That being said, he doesn't take anything from anyone either, I'm sure he could become a bully if it got too cramped in there, but so far he's been a model citizen. He was REALLY shy for the first week I had him, but now he recognizes me and comes out begging for food anytime I get near the tank. They really are quite awesome fish, both, color and personality wise, one of my favorite purchases in years.

I picked up this beautiful Temmincks from Vanuatu today.

Has any tried 1 supermale, 1 sub-dominant male, and 2 female Lineatus in the same tank? I have had them in the tank for a week now and have not seen any aggression but was wondering if I might have to remove some later down the road? Thanks

ray_archer2003, that is one awesome picture. And, of course, a nice fish.

Hi Steve,

Thank you!

He never fail to entertain me by occasionally "flaring up" while chasing other fairy wrasses in my tank.

i don't know if they do this was the first time i had ever been there and don't know them very well but i can find out

Bronco,

I noticed in one of your pics that you have a crosshatch trigger in your tank with your fairy wrasses. I have a small 4" crosshatch that is great but when I placed my new fairy wrasses (a rhomboid and a pink margin) into the tank the trigger came up to bite it. Do you have any issues with your crosshatch trigger attacking your wrasses or was it just an issue of the trigger checking out a new fish? What is your experience with your crosshatch? Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

ktrandc,

I think you may be confusing me with someone else. I do not have a crosshatch trigger in my tank. I've nver really been a fan of triggers.

Newly acquired fairies.
Bathyphilus, Rubrisquamis,

Not very good pictures, but you know how hard it is to get good ones. Take 50 pictures to save 1.

ktrandc, you may have been looking at my reef pictures. I have a female crosshatch, and she could care less about my fairies.

Sorry Bradley it was your pics I was looking at. I'm glad to hear the crosshatch has no interest in your wrasses. I think she was just checking them out and making sure they weren't meant for eating. The only thing my crosshatch has eaten are my red firefishes. I had 6 until she decided they were good evening snacks.
