ok well that didnt work how i wanted it to. Do you know anywhere i can upload them to so i dont have to edit them it takes forever to do.

He was a little smaller then the dotty. It's funny cause the dotty seems like the most shyest, passive fish I have ever owned. Do you think I would be ok if I got 2-3 wrasses at a time???

How many fairies and what kind of fairies can i put in a 46g bowfront? I can't afford the expensive ones. Thanks. Siders

From what ive looked at most fairy wrasses are cheap in no sense. Cheapest Fairy wrasse i have seen was like $40

zaslax, I had a Labouti in my 46 gal bowfront. It was a beautiful fish, until he went carpet surfing one day: COVER YOUR TANKS--EVERY LAST MILLIMETER!

Wow sorry Flipturn about the carpet surfing wrasse...A laboutei...that would really suck. Those are such beautiful fish. My tank is 100% covered a fish can't even get in the overflow the eggcrate is flush with the glass top. I meant that I can't afford 50+ bucks each. I was thinking a Cirrhilabrus rubriventralis pair and a Cirrhilabrus punctatus. Would these be fine in a 46g? I have a 15g sump/fuge on the bottom.

I just saw Flipturn's post about his carpet surfing wrasse. Another hazard is powerhead placement. My fairy wrasse is great, but a real pig at feeding time. He wedged himself behind the powerhead in the corner of the tank (kind of between the glass and the powerhead, in the space the suction cups are in) with his head out of water while trying to get a piece of food. Luckily I heard him splashing, went downstairs to investigate, and quickly got him "unstuck". Minus a few missing scales, everything was fine - just thought I'd warn people. It's possible he could have gotten himself out of it, but who knows...

:-)

Great thread. My favorite fish.

I am setting up a 70 cube and will get a male and a couple females of ...... well I am not sure yet. Lineatus maybe or Pyle?

Maybe Rhomboid I can't make up my mind. I am pretty sure it is one of these three though.

Thanks everyone for your condolences. I hope to get another fairy wrasse someday (when my tank is well-covered!).

zaslax, your plan sounds pretty good! Please keep us posted :)

Chris, I think that it's a female juvenile. How long is it. Other than that, it could be a mollie :)
