Fake Anenome

Ordered Fake anemone for new baby clowns. I read that some fake ones can 'pollute' the water ? Any experience with this?
any experience in general with fake anemone? Please pass it on.
(Can't afford light upgrade just yet or real nems ...)

You don't really need fake nems to make the baby clowns feel comfortable, and it won't help with hosting in the future. Clowns have an innate sense when finding their host, which is done by small.

A ceramic flowerpot - while rather ugly - is better accepted than a silicone anemone.

Useless!
Clownfish ignored it
and it smelled weird .
took it out.

With baby clowns the only things that makes sense are either a natural host anemone (to imprint them on anemones) or a ceramic flowerpot (to give them a center of territory).
