Hope everyone can make it , I'll be hosting the anual fall combined reef club BBQ 2pm, Nov 11 at my place in Nokomis.

I'll be smoking up a big bunch of ribs and maybe a few burgers and dogs and I'll have some drinks. Please bring a dish to share, friends and family are welcome.

2nd wk in Nov is the only time of the year that I actually promise to have all the coraline scraped off my front glass (or at least I'll make a good effort to get it all chiseled off by then), come check out my little coral farm, I have about 3000 gallons of salt water,. am propping around 100 varieties of coral and my 240 show tank in the house is 100% tank raised corals, no wild corals allowed.

I'll get directions out later, hope to see you all Nov 11th, bring your appetite and a side dish or a desert. :)

Well if that coraline comes off in big chunks save me a big bag of it. :) Will you need someone to bring additional drinks too? I can bring several bottles of soda/etc. Thank you for the invite!!

If the weather is nice, the wife actually said she would go with me...

Would it be helpful to know what people are bringing so you dont wind up with 10 baked bean casseroles?

Ben, it might be helpfull to know what others are bringing so we don't end up with the 10 baked bean casseroles you mentioned or 40 bags of sour cream and onion potatoe chips, but with people from 5 clubs coming I'n not capable of coordinating it. :eek1: Things usually work out fairly well but if people would like to post what they are thinking of bringing to let others know it might be a good idea. :)

Cool....Hope the weather is as nice as today!!

Mapquest says you are appx 1.5 hrs away..

quick question about your past meeting; have there been any kids? Trying to decide whether or not to bring my 13yr old daughter.

I can honestly say that it is well worth the trip! Brian has a beautiful home and an impressive setup. And he is pretty good on the grill!!!

With pot luck dinners in the past, I found most people bring too much of the same food â€"œ a dish for 6 people will feed a crowd of a dozen, as every body usally takes a small taste or none at all.

Do we do need a list of who is bringing what and what Brian needs: soda? Ice? Napkins? Paper Plates? Cups? Etc.?

Yo, I hate to sound old fogie, but could we use nametags, like the stick on kind, so we could put screen names and real names and faces together?
Mike

I'll do a nametag, but I'm new so not sure it matters for me :-)

Acolin/bgdiving, ditto. Any idea what is needed? Any recommendations?

I'm new...not a member...will pay up at the bbg. I'm bringing a Publix pie and a bunch of nametags.
Mike

Sweeet! I was going to bring some Southern Style Potatoe Salad and some snacks (Chips, etc.). If anything else is needed please post.

I dont know if I am or not but I went last year and have been to his place since then. I would shoot a pm to Brian to see about the kids.

Does anyone from St. Pete, or anyone driving through want to carpool. There isnt much point for all of us to be driving. I've been wanting to go to a meeting and join, and it sounds like this is going to be a great 1st meeting to go to.
