Fallback

I noticed in the Unofficial User Guide (Official as far as I am concerned) that it does not use a Fallback Off program for the LED/Lights/Dimming before the:
Set Off
Ramp Up
etc etc
Is there a reason for that?
Fallback Off just means if something happens to go wrong and the controller does not know what to do, then it goes off, right?
And what about Set off?

Fallback is only valid for AquaBus connected modules and is the active state when module is detects that it has lost communications with the main base unit. You cannot use Fallback for legacy devices like the LunarSim as those types of devices are not smart and cannot detect the loss of communications. Same for the base and the VarSpeed ports there-in; if the base is dead then so are the VarSpeed ports.

Hope this clears things up...

Thanks, so for the outlets that my Meanwell Dimmable drivers plug into on the EB8, should I put those at Fallback OFF, or does it not matter since the drivers are also plugged into the VarSpeed ports?

Fallback is only for physical outlets on an EB8 or EB4. It's for the situation where the communications between the controller and the EB4/8 have failed - what should the EB do with that outlet? Turn it ON or OFF?

I prefer Fallback ON for any outlet that has a device with its own on/off control or thermostat EXCEPT something like a dosing pump that could damage your tank. That way you can continue to operate the device manually or rely on its built in t-stat until you can fix whatever is not working with your controller.
