fallowing tank with mandarin???

hey, im being paranoid, i saw my 6 line wrasse scratch its flank today, so im going to put all my fish in quarantine just in case. Anyways, i also have a fat mandarin (eats flake food ) and since they cannot contract ich due to their slime coat, can i effectively fallow the tank with the mandarin in it???

No. It is an internet myth that mandarins cannot get ich. They can and do get ich. You are in a good position though, since yours take prepared foods. Quarantining it should not be an issue.
