False Percula breathing hard??

I am treating my Q-tank with Hyposalinity as a preventative measure to ick (pre entering into display). I have 2 False Perculas and one Midas blenny. They are all breathing fine and eating except for the larger false percula. She is breathing hard and hasn’t ate for days. Could it be because of the salinity drop (which was slow and the other fish are not effected) or could it be with the addition of the Midas blenny?

Thanks!

What are your ammonia levels at? I assume that your specific gravity is 1.009 since you're treating with hypo, correct?

Sometimes the heavy breathing can be a sign of Amyloodinium, so keep an eye out for the fish to be swimming with a head up or head down posture with fins clamped tight to its sides. Also keep an eye out for any visible spots or increased mucus, or generally any other signs of illness. It could just be particularly stressed out at the moment, but definitely watch it.

The first battle is to get her eating...what have you tried feeding?

I took the Midas Blenny out to see if thats what was causing her stress. I have tried feeding her Formula 2, Pellets, Mysis. The only thing left is live brine or to raise the salinity back up to see if thats whats causing the stress?
