False Perculas: what to watch for

I have a False Percula that is at least eight years old and has gotten quite large. I recently added another, much smaller, False Percula into my 120 gallon tank.

The two fish are now buddies. The smaller one spends much time behind my overflow box and the larger one tends to stay in the general vacinity and runs off any other fish (including very large fish!) that come near the smaller fish.

I'm assuming this means they are becoming an item, so to speak.

Question: if they were going to breed and attempt to raise young, what behaviors would I look for to know I need to prepare?

If the clowns are aggressively cleaning the rocks or other area in the tank they are probably almost ready. They will also do a little dance (Seizure like action).

You could be waiting a long time. I would personally wait till I see the first eggs before starting any cultures. JMO

Thanks. I didn't get the second clown with the intention of them breeding. The first one (which my kids named "Steve") was getting to be a bully, even with much larger and more aggressive fish. I was told adding a second clown would take care of the aggression. It did.

But, now that these two seem to be a couple, I thought I'd like to be ready if the big event does happen.
